I remember the day that the man delivered the boxes to our house. My dad and I opened the boxes and I remember the smell of the paper, ink, and leather. Now I know why the book case sat empty for two months and my dad got slightly mad when he saw my toy cars and army men in it. He wanted all of the encyclopedias to be put in at the same time, so he paid in installments. I sat and read those encyclopedias from cover-to-cover and looked up things that I heard and saw on T.V. and around me. Anyone who destroys books and other written and printed material is a monster. The sad part is that most of the destroying was done by "religious men".
