@Karl Anderson. The 3/5ths compromise was used by southern law makers to gain congressional seats by counting slaves as "persons" when it benefited the slave owners. It was not anti-slave at all.

@willyb7755 You need to learn reading comprehension because I can honestly say that I've read the U.S. Constitution and Declaration of Independence and you let him read it to you.

@rlb9652. How so please?

@karlanderson1900 Let's also not forget that trying to develop rules for an immoral practice is nothing to boast about.

What the founders did about Slavery...they protected it.

@superiorshotgun4348 Slavery was a partnership between Northern and Southern states. By the U.S. Constitution an escaped Slave was required to be returned to the Plantation. America also passed "Fugitive Slave Act" Legislation just to make sure. Also, see Dredd Scott.

@Jon Lagann. Clarify your comment because it just sounds racist to me?

@Todd K. No, this video was mis-informative. You are being lied to and given a person's perspective.
1
@Michael MJL. Yes, it could have been because the Slave Holders didn't want to lose money due to slavery ending.
1
@J Scott Upton. If you had nothing to do with Slavery, don't defend it and don't make excuses for the slave trade. How hard is that?
1
@jscottupton Okay, did you want to talk about something?

Not even close in comparison.

@Russell gay. Why do Americans dodge responsibilities when it comes to Slavery? American today love to say "I had nothing to do with Slavery" to them I respond with well stop defending it then. But when Americans are defending Slavery and blaming everyone else why does Spain, Portugal, and the Catholic Church get a pass?

@holycats8554 Name a Black American Slave trader. Normally when Blacks owned Slaves they their friends and family and did not treat the as white plantation owners.
1
@damianop100 So why do people defend slavery?
1
@holycats8554 That's a bunch of bullshit.
1
@holycats8554 Please see Manumissions. Did I not speak of this act in my comments? As you can see the Black Slave owner was much different from the white slave owner.

@karlanderson1900 I know all about the 3/5 ths. Please explain how it's anti-slavery when it gave the south Congressional seats due to population, seats they would not have if slaves were not counted, less seats mean less power. The slaves got nothing out of it.
