  3. It had good intention but modern women take advantage of the law for their own interests. The law was initially created to protect women from husbands abandoning their wives leaving them no way of supporting themselves. Remember, back in the day, most married women were staying at home wives. Fast forward to modern time, women can now make their own momey, even after getting married. The problem now is women are not depending on husband as much as they did, but when they initiate divorces, they still gets the money.
