If he would have just wounded her she still could have stabbed the girl. He saved her life. You need to pick your battles better. The Police officer did the right thing.

If it were my child about to have their throat slashed I would have done the same thing as the police officer did. He had a spit second decision to make. Had he not shot the attacker the victim would be dead. He made the right call and he will probably have nightmares the rest of his life. But he did the right thing. Anyone can armchair this but unless it’s actually happening to you you’ll never know.
