  1. If a celebrity wants to run for office that is their right. Go for it. But if a celebrity wants to stay just a celebrity then don’t preach politics. Their audience consists of Democrats, Republicans, and independents. When they trash a Democrat or trash a Republican they just lost half their fan base. Dixie Chicks is a good example. They were very successful in their craft and everyone loved them on both sides until they trashed Bush on stage and started preaching their politics in another country. Then it continued. Their popularity dropped like a yard dart. A celebrity should shut up and sing, or shut up and act no matter what their party is if they want to be the best. IMHO
