  1.  @scottishterrier9308  👈. Absolutely. All aircraft have scheduled maintenance visits and engine changes. Paper trail will lead to the last maintenance performed on that engine.

  3. Could be bad maintenance by UAL mechanics. UAL maintains their own aircraft

  4.  @BobHolowenko  👈. That’s true Boeing doesn’t build the engine. Rolls Royce or Pratt Whitney does however the airline or carrier that owns or leases the plane maintains it. May not be Boeing’s or the engine manufacturer fault at all. Could be the UAL mechanic(s) who performed maintenance missed something. NTSB will find out.
