Would be interesting to find out his restaurant's wages given youth unemployment here is rising. Can make great use with some training and gain invaluable life skills such as teamwork and working under pressure

Maybe a sausage

@nadtz yes they should target the youth specifically
2
@darrenjoseph4005 and only when they are earning over a certain amount. It can also be written off after thirty years too
2
@claireabbott6112 exactly what I mean as a part time job through one's education
2
@DanTheMan221 lovely jubbly
2
@nadtz the kick-start scheme can be used sufficiently. Plus youngsters are much more likely to start off in this industry within their employment. Many of my friends have or are currently working within the hospitality sector, either during the holidays or as part time as a student..
1
@darrenjoseph4005 I think that should have been planned for ages ago if I am honest. But given youth unemployment now it makes sense to target them more as we recover from covid
1
@nadtz that wasn't targeting the youth. It was targeting everyone. As I said, it should be more specific
1
@sid35gb something to consider. It is something students in particular can focus on part time work, as working under pressure and team skills are increasingly demanded by employers these days
1
@darrenjoseph4005 yes I agree. A great incentive for people to work
1
@runescapevid2k9 I know several people my age that love it. Guess it's down to the individual and how they feel within that environment, just like with any job tbh
1
@roisinmalone3015 most of them probs have a job, whereas for the youth unemployment is much higher
1
@roisinmalone3015 even though this is purely a domestic job that has nothing to do with our trading relationship with the EU. Surely it would be better for young people to consider it at least if their opportunities are damaged by brexit. I say this as a twenty year old myself and not some out of touch nationalist who wants the return of the golden age Youth unemployment will be much higher after covid especially
1
@roisinmalone3015 I'm not forcing anyone into a job. I am saying such sectors should be encouraging young people especially into employment especially as it is the youth that will be most affected in terms of employment post pandemic. Simple as
1
@roisinmalone3015 if they haven't got the skills to do that job or not willing or able to get training for that job, then they don't do the job and look elsewhere
1
@darrenjoseph4005 indeed, and training can be put in place for other roles such as chefs. Effective planning leads to effective outcomes..
1
@roisinmalone3015 that is if they are not taking it cause they do not want to work full stop
1
@roisinmalone3015 plenty. At the very least it will encourage youngsters to look for jobs in this sector which is a start
1
@roisinmalone3015 this call proves otherwise
1
@roisinmalone3015 and incentives help if you know what they mean
1
@roisinmalone3015 this one. Time to hire British workers. A report concluded that businesses will face fewer profits as wages will rise due to immigration changes
1
@roisinmalone3015 or else how are they going to make money without benefits?
1
@roisinmalone3015 I could not care less about what this government or successive governments have done. I am on about this and similar other busnisees impacted by covid combined with high youth unemployment. That's where the focus should be
