because nobody implements any type of bad driver detection and isolation system in any os. and no, windows safe mode does not count. it just lets you boot up and then its your problem, but it does not work for locked down corporate machines.

@h4ktbtw agreed, but it matters a lot more on windows due to you having thousands of drivers written badly by untrusted third parties with varying levels of quality control and are hoping that none of those drivers have a cloudstrike level bug. mac is less affected due to them all being a preapproved all in one board with the drivers mainly written by apple. linux is less affected by the fact that most drivers go through the kernel development path before being shipped in the mail kernel, thereby getting lots of testing.
