  2. Elon has added legitimate value to twitter with stuff like community notes, and reporting seems to be less partisan, but a hard paywall would drive me off the site. Youtube has got me to spend money on their site for the first time since I discovered adblock by adding superchats, so I think something like that would be smarter. I'm only on social media because it's free, cheap entertainment. If that goes away I'll just pirate more anime lol.

  3. exactly, he'll either succeed in adding enough value to twitter to make up for his investment in it and we get a shiny new platform, or the worst social media site dies. I'm cool with either!

  4. I'm a super casual twitter user, how has it gotten worse? this isn't a gotcha I genuinely don't know why people like it less besides the new branding

  5.  @enn1924  funny but I use social media in the late evening usually. I'm not going on walks with a flashlight if twitter gets paywalled. I go for walks and drives while the sun's still shining though
