@weignerg yes, but even that needs a big asterisk appended to it. the human body is a survival engine, and a lack of strain can also be bad. lack of exercise is the obvious example, but there's also things like peanuts, where people only become allergic to them if they're not exposed to them early in childhood, so it's a case where too much safety is unhelpful. I think of it like car maintenance, a car can only perform for so long before wear causes it to stop working, but a car that sits in the garage without being used for too long develops its own problems.
