@rumo510 I can't be objective on the prequels because they were my first exposure to star wars, but I think the best criticism that can be directed at the sequel trilogy is that it's self-referential, and that tends to be a sign of an IP in decline. If they wanted to sell us a story about blowing up a megastructure again it probably should have been another rerelease of the OT, but the first of the sequels had to retread old ground to test the waters. From there we get into the problems with inconsistent direction, and then when the movies lost their footing they go "fuck it, the new big bad isn't working out, just bring back Palpatine so we can beat him again"
