  1.  @Rockdwaynejonnyson  nobody, that's why I buy good indie games for $30. I still play FTL sometimes to this day. the fun per dollar is insanely high compared to something like borderslop that I might drop before finishing the story a single time.

  2. I'm at the point where broken AAA games offend me, I used to just ignore most of them but I've given too many games chances that were bad on a technical level. After a bunch of piecemeal upgrades I have a nice, balanced PC that doesn't struggle to run anything but when I give AAA a chance I get games that crash on launch or otherwise don't work without a bunch of effort on my end.

  3. I pay $80 for no games, none. no game is good enough for a $20 bump on top of standard retail price. I've bought so many digital games for $60 the cost savings on physical distribution should be enough extra money for these companies. the skill issue is theirs if they can't budget properly.

  6. the other thing Randy didn't account for is that not only was money worth more when he saved up for his game, he was also a kid with no other expenses. he leapt past comparing apples and oranges and started comparing apples and spark plugs.

  7. stop thinking in those terms, you're making Randy's "real fan" a reality instead of a wet dream for gaming executives and shareholders. Wake up and smell the cost of living increases, no entertainment product is worth a 33% markup over base price right now.

  8. not to mention the people who won't boycott on principle but will be priced out. Paying the CAD tax on top of $80 USD is going to mean a lot of people wait for sales or skip it who would've been day 1 purchases
