I think some of the concepts in the art (knitting bodies out of synthetic silkworms and stuff, the bright colors and the offworld colony vibe) are neat and I'd flip through the artbook for this game but they take those concepts and make the characters look like typical trashy gutter rat cyberpunk characters but with paint-white skin. Their personal style should either be more clinical and less punk, or their synthetic bodies should look more grungy to match the punk style. Oh, and call it something other than Marathon because other than the Compiler cameo none of this bears any resemblance to Marathon.

@yoji-_ take it from somebody who sunk a lot of hours into Destiny since 2014, that won't be how it goes. There will be lore cards that help you imagine what the story could be like if one had been fully written and behind the scenes there will be a couple of writers who can't agree on a direction to take things so plotlines will meander off in no particular direction and get dropped a lot. If you want a coherent story they'll just let a youtuber tell you what it is instead

@terrnoisrp8894 Nier Automata says hello from the past. Honestly I find it more believable that we'd make human replica bots at least marginally attractive, even if these combat models in Marathon have to take liberties like no pigment in the skin and machines jutting out of them. If they need to look human at all instead of being designed purely for function they're doing it for human sensibilities, so make em look nice instead of 🟥👄🟥

@glevert4382 all the more reason they should have had a character creator then, right? The "characters" are vat grown and have off-the-shelf generic personalities.
