  1. ​ @PopcornMax179 I'll take Steam being what is and never getting another first party Valve game over them getting bought out or having to please investors. They aren't perfect but I think any other arrangement would ruin Valve.

  2. Gabe is ex-Microsoft himself, though not many people remember that these days. Keeping that in mind and the fact that Valve made the conscious decision to build SteamOS on Linux, and to use it and Proton to power the Deck, I think it's safe to say he intends on staying independent of them for as long as he's in control of the company. When he's gone I fully expect some hack who doesn't share his vision to take over, but I would love to be pleasantly surprised.
