same applies to VPN companies and those ad reads that make the service sound like some kind of magic bullet for security. The only good one I've ever heard was Tom Scott's modified version.

The bit about texting an old number deliberately (~54:00) reminds me a lot of people I knew in my personal life, emphasis on KNEW. Past tense. I was on Steve's channel telling him to leave out the jab at Linus because he already made his callout, MegaLag already said what needed to be said about honey, but maybe Linus is even more of a small man than I gave him credit for.

the ad blocking will continue until the products and services improve. the internet was always supposed to make people who used it more informed so profiting from ignorance shouldn't be nearly as widespread as it is.

people use this all the time online. someone calls somebody else out, a crazy person jumps on the bandwagon and says syk backwards, and the person who's in the wrong cries to their followers about death threats and hides from the conversation. rinse and repeat.

that social media post he made about interracial marriage as some kind of game theory strat he was exploiting was really odd too. it read like he chose a person to marry and have kids with to get back at somebody else and he was gloating about it. he could marry an anime girl for all I care but nobody asked for his essay on it, it's just really weird.
