  1. is BPD ever comorbid with narcissistic personality disorder? I'm trying to understand why someone who used to be in my life behaved the way he did before I cut contact and with my years of firsthand experience with him, he seems to have traits from both. He probably won't seek therapy and either way, I won't find out the results one way or another. Not looking to armchair diagnose, I just want to understand.

  2. there should probably be a component of university for people in mental health disciplines where they work out their own issues before they're allowed near a patient. knowing the material doesn't automatically mean they suddenly don't have giant blind spots or bad people's skills
