  1. if this is a high school thing and you're otherwise happy with the friend group, I say try to still be on good terms with them. The girl you like is probably too emotionally volatile right now to be a good romantic partner to anybody and genuinely needs some space if she just got out of a relationship. Even if she seems like she starts showing interest in her ex again (hopefully not but it happens) or someone else, it's probably not a stable relationship. She might also spend a long time single to work through the trauma which in my experience tends to be best. I obviously don't know your situation but my advice as far as your crush goes is to do what you have to do to let your romantic feelings for her settle down. If there's any chance of it she'll need a long time and she'll probably need to be the one to initiate, otherwise keep your heart open so that you don't miss another good chance. And don't lose your other good friends if you can help it, they're not what you want most right now but you will need good friends, trust me
