@bike4aday true, constant mental chatter is more like ADHD or schizophrenia than creativity. the mind needs to stay quiet for the same reason fields need to lay fallow sometimes

@antanaskiselis7919 this, people picking a job based only on their ability and what makes the most amount of money creates this aimlessness. Money is an instrumental goal and depending on difficult work that you don't care about for the sake of an instrumental goal sucks the life out of a person. I'm stuck in a situation like this right now. the work is meaningful and it's a job worth doing in the abstract, but I can't stand it. trying to figure out a way to pivot currently
