@seneca983 that's cool and all, but the burden is on you to prove that a foreigner who practices unsafe sex in another part of the world is more deserving of my tax money than me. I don't care about your abstract "goodness." maybe you should spend your own money on it instead of appropriating any amount of mine if you care so much about being good.

@seneca983 this is what always happens when people talk about this subject. I say I don't consent, and you say it's not that big of a deal. you also say nothing about making your own voluntary donations towards causes you consider so worthy when asked. we're done here 🙄

@ people like you talk like you think any degree of support is bootlicking. there's nothing worthwhile or entertaining about talking to someone like you, usually. case in point, you think you're making a completely different point than I said you were because you rephrased it. are you tedious to talk to on purpose or on accident?

@garret6464 it might be if I was an uninformed voter. I knew Elon would be involved in the federal government and I voted for Trump knowing this. As for the people who voted for the other team, well that doesn't exactly matter. If they need to play word games to keep the unpopular losing party from gaining undue influence, I can't say that troubles my conscience.

if we honestly had elections as the main criterion for who gets to act in government, down to the individual, the government would be even less left-wing than it is now.
