@thelordofcringe I'd love to have the US train infrastructure upgraded and I've wondered how many (if any) cues we could take from Japan and their train system on our comparatively much larger landmass, but I imagine what you mentioned would be a significant problem.

@anand.suralkar this is a pretty superficial understanding of self driving cars. machines still struggle to pay attention to all the variables that change moment-by-moment and react accordingly, so AI would almost certainly be involved. "just program them not to hit each other" is an incredibly complicated program to solve.
