  1. American here, my Asian housemate sold me on the idea of electric kettles not long ago. I drink a lot more tea than coffee, and the kettle has become my favorite method for getting hot water. I even use it to start hot water for other things like instant noodles. I probably wouldn't have even encountered them if not for her and this channel.
