Several things probably, but in the middle ages they were often not settling and moving, thus werent really wanted as lands wanted them to stay and be citizens, ther ewas that they were money lenders because it was unchristian to do that, some were, and proably other factors making them unwanted and scapegoats.

  2. Thats just human, the internal arguing. Oh budhism has a debate culture apearently or monks had, and, th ecatholic church too, , its probably just a human thing.
