  1. If only we'd bought them instead of F-35's. No chance of that now after cancelling the sub deal, either. Looks like no subs until mid 2040's. If we'd chosen nuclear french subs we'd get them circa 2030...

  3. Rafale is probably level pegging. Extra range, true multirole capability plus supercruise probably means that the Rafale was a better buy. Add in how much cheaper it is to buy and maintain and it's DEFINITELY a better buy. Sadly my nation bough F-35's, when Rafale better suits our needs, and is more affordable in greater numbers. But that's geopolitics for you.

  5. Even America is going back to 4th/4.5th generation fighters because the F22 and F35 are just too expensive. Every plane lost is a huge victory to the enemy due to cost.
