  1. When you're looking for spices and you land in the Pilbara, yeah it kind of sucks. No massive extraction industries, no massive super freighters? You choose small, fast ships that can export spices and tea really quickly before they go off. Especially when your enemies control the seas and the slow old super freighter is an easy target. I'm sure if the Dutch managed to dig a huge gold mine at Kalgoorlie things might have been different...
