Great Northern Supercrisp is a great beer. Overpriced for a midstrength but really good.

Posting glass is a bit more of a hazard so I'm sure that was factored in. Every beer tastes better in glass. No question.

Tooheys also do an Extra Dry style beer, which I quite like, and would choose above these two. I have to admit, given the two options on the plate, I'd be choosing the "deer beer" over the VB. It's betraying my home state I know (Tooheys being the main NSW beer and VB being the main Victorian beer). VB is very bitter, and best drunk very cold. The CSIRO (which is a government research agency) was involved in breeding the hops as well as Carlton and United Breweries. Yep, government assistance for making beer. That's the Aussie way. :) VB have done some famous advertising campaigns. They'll surely pop up in some later advertising reviews, because they have some absolute classics. These days though, I'd probably choose something else than either of these. Currently drinking a XXXX Dry which is a Queensland beer. We might need to do a beer State of Origin match. Amazingly, I agree with you on YOUR domestic beers - my two favourites are Coors and Sol. I'll take Sol over Corona. Dunno about that Lite though. Urgh.

Stone and Wood is something I can only drink a couple of then get sick of the taste very quickly. The first one tastes good though. It's more like a pacific ale type beer and a bit over the top with the hops, so no good for a long session. 150 lashes is pretty solid. All the James Squire beers are.

I'd have to disagree. Miller is pretty damn ordinary. Bud isn't much better tbh. If you're judging American beers by those two it's like judging Aussie beers by VB vs New.

Cascade Pale Ale is an absolutely great beer.

I wouldn't call James Squire "craft" beer.
