Federal RSR are a street legal semi slick tyre. So, to use American terminology, they would be completely DOT legal. They'd be like a UHP or "summer sports tyre" but stickier.

Not competitive, but out there. There is also bucket racing which is cheaper again but it's motorbikes. Also there's Notta Grand Prix. Worth looking up.

These are a 1.5 litre twin cam motor. The engine was originally used in the Mitsubishi Mirage which you may have over there. FWD and 5 speed. These were a 74kw engine stock, modifications are very limited by class rules and the best of these are putting out just shy of 90kw (120 hp). lack of power = lots of slipstreaming and close racing. But yes, these cars are light, and that means they're not super slow, despite the power numbers.

As someone mentioned the later models here are called an Accent, but I don't think the Accent is allowed. If it was it would be uncompetitive anyway as the body is heavier.
