  1. The Intech motor that these were derived off goes back to the late 1960's Ford Inline 6. The most direct path was from the 250 Cubic Inch motor that we first saw about 1969 (XW Falcon iirc, replacing the earlier 221's). It has a LONG history, with quite a few refreshes along the way, as a 4.1 litre cross flow, 3.9 litre, 4.0 litres, 4.0 litres with VCT. In the Intech guise it was the highest specific output single cam 6 cylinder on the planet. But the single overhead cam was done - lack of power and emission controls.
