  1. It needs revision. Sure you can remember it once you're exposed to it but there is no rhyme nor reason. It's the way t is because even a secondary suburban road can have 4 or 5 name changes, so it needs a consistent route designation. Local councils are literally the worst. Non accountable, because nobody cares when local councils get elected. All we want is for them to collect our bins but these are the sorts of consequences of electing utter numpties to even trivial positions of power.
