  1.  @randallwoods  In summer the water coming out of the hose here would be hot enough to make a cup of tea with. You need to run it a bit first if you dont want to scald your mouth.

  2. Needing to filter your water is either a sure sign of third world infrastructure, or conspiracy theorists believing that the "masses" are being controlled by chemicals in the water. Either way, the US has got it covered. Bottled water is one of the worst things for the planet. All the plastic waste, huge cost of transport when it can just be pushed through pipes instead of bottled and trucked, and the water cost itself is ridiculous. Water costs about $3 a KILOlitre for infrastructure, water treatment and distribution. Compare that to buying a 600ml bottle of water for $2. You are paying over 1000 times as much for the water that comes in a plastic bottle. Even drug dealers are more ethical than that.
