  1. Did you see the warning signs for 9:16 Stingers and 9:25 Crocodiles? They have bottles of white vinegar as part of an emergency pack there to help neutralize the stingers of some of the most venomous jellyfish in the world there. Box Jellyfish, Portugese man-o-war, and Irukandji Jellyfish. If the wrong one gets you, or if you have an allergic reaction to some of the other ones there's no saving you. Best to not go in the water in stinger season and seriously consider stinger suits if you're even close to the season. Beautiful place though. Absolutely breathtaking to step out of rainforest straight onto such a beautiful beach. The main beach is normally ok for swimming in, except in stinger season, but I'd steer clear of anywhere where the water goes right up to the mangroves because of the crocs. And of course the bull sharks, too. With the white sand and clear water you can see them a fair way off though so people still get in the water there.
