  1. Was a Chrysler Valiant PACER. The pacer was also a "sports pack" on US mopars too. Ours was the hemi 6's for this model, with better carbies and exhaust. So not a pure racecar, more like the Commodore SV6 OR Falcon XR6 of it's day.

  2. I think in regards to punching above it's weight in racing, you're right. It's a huge sport here. But it's much more concentrated. Motocross is huge in the USA, and we've only got a small competitive scene. Our domestic motorcycle racing is smaller, although we have certainly had some absolute pinnacle racers. We don't really have a huge flat track following, or supermotard either. Trials bikes are basically non existant, which are huge in Europe and the UK. What we do have a bit of that you haven't looked at yet is Speedway, particularly speedway bikes. You'll love it. Lots of horsepower and no brakes. :)

  3. They mentioned on of the GT HO's hit 286 kph on lap 1 before the chase. That's 178 miles per hour. The cars may be old but these guys aren't doing some Sunday cruise for Devonshire Tea.
