  1. Cooper's Shoot is basically Byron Bay. There's some issues going on there because all the locals are being outpriced and forced out of their area by the influx of Hollywood types and rich tree changers from Sydney, and there is a huge stream of overseas backpackers who seem not to have any respect for the locals and sadly some behave pretty badly. I don't know how long things are going to remain "friendly" in that region, but I guess if you can price everyone else out you can create a big rural gated community with security guards. It's a pity, because that area was beautiful and friendly for decades but certainly doesn't feel that way now to me.
