@thegoldensnitch6312 You have never seen an Aussie 7-11 with a wall basically dedicated to two coffee machines and the hotbox full of pies. Staple.

Beerenberg do great sauces and they do an excellent relish too. Sausage rolls with the open ends, the mixture has to be firmer and tends to dry out more in cooking. So more likely to want or need sauce with a sausage roll over a pie. If a pie NEEDS the sauce it is either way too hot (fresh from oven) or overcooked and the gravy has dried out a bit. Freezer storage can also dry pies out a bit too. Of course, for taste test purposes you've gotta try things out. Lamb is a funny thing - many people are offended we eat it, but it is truly delicious, and if cooked properly just melts in your mouth. It's usually a gourmet pie and a higher price just because Lamb is a lot rarer meat than Beef. You can also substitute it with goat for excellent results too. Lamb, Rosemary and Potatoes belong together. My fave pie is pretty much always the pepper steak though, although mushroom, curry or bacon are all very good too (but never bacon and cheese).

It is pretty easy to make these at home, especially the sausage rolls. Beef pies it is helps if you have a pressure cooker as it makes a big difference to making the gravy, trapping all the moisture in while you braise the beef. It's not essential, but it helps. A quick web search will give you all the instructions, but finding lamb or kangaroo to make them might be harder, so best to practice with beef until you have the makings of them down pat. If you look at Guy Fieri he has done some reviews of Aussie Pies before. There's a few places in the midwest that do Aussie style bakeries (and a lot more in California), and given how successful they seem to be I'm really amazed there's not a huge market for these.

@midnightkitchen8379 there's a few places you can put an order in from the states and your postal systems are so good over there it's pretty easy to get what you want, compared to getting the real Aussie stuff all the way there. I guess covid has made a big impact on the international transport but less on the domestic.
