  1. Not necessarily. Gruen Transfer? People will watch an hour long special of nostalgic ads, or analysing best ever tv ads with good ratings. I don't need to say much more than "don't wait to be told..." and someone knows the ad I'm talking about, and I'm not talking to you Rita the Eta Eater, go sit in the corner with the Malboro Man and the Gobbledok. Ads can be utterly brilliant. 30 seconds of advertisement can last for decades.

  2. To me, American Gridiron (yeah we don't call it football because 99% hands) is a strategic battle between two coaches using players as chess pieces. American basketball (versus worldwide basketball rules) tend to play that way as well. Our NBL is completely different to your NBA and a lot of players struggle to adapt.. Back to the NFL. It's a great sport for statisticians and coaches, it's great for players due to the insane amounts of money on offer, but for fans? Well I can see why cheerleaders are a huge thing over there. Shifting entire teams from offense to defence, constant time outs... no flow of play, no real opportunities for individual brilliance to change the course of a game. Too many stoppages. Games spend more time with people walking back to position or the bench than actually playing the game. Not for me. On the other hand, ice hockey...
