  1. This is only a classic presentation not a race - of the two cars the GTR is definitely the faster. The other car is a Ford Sierra Cosworth (Turbo 4wd) which was the dominant touring car in the period just before the GTR came on the scene. The GTR blitzed it, as you would expect with a 2.6 litre twin turbo versus a 2.0 litre turbo, then there were some rule changes (Cosworth was allowed 1/2" wider wheels and some downforce changes, plus I think there were some weight handicap changes) which made the Cosworth competitive for a bit, and then the GTR got tweaked a bit more from it's original Nismo/Japanese spec by Fred Gibson Motorsport and dominated utterly for a few years after that. Might have also been around that period of dominance when there was a Nismo or V-spec package that allowed more downforce or rubber on the GTR too - remembering these were technically a production car class after all. Cosworths are a fairly awesome car too, not bagging them at all. But you can see and hear how short that Nissan is getting shifted and how little he is throwing it around.
