  1. Black powder throwing basically large chunks of real estate. :) By modern standards the .303 is a slow whoomph sound, but compared to the .577 on black powder it sounds like a .204 Ruger lol

  3. Also, for those who don't know, the British method of measurement was different to the US method, so a 308 is 7.62 mm but the 303 is 7.92mm. The case width at the rim is 13.7mm or 0.54 of an inch compared to 12.0 or 0.47 of an inch. India created a lot of .410 shotguns out of surplus WWII .303's It's a far bigger round than many people realize.

  4.  @abysswalker2594  if there is not regular commercial ammunition available it doesn't require a licence. it's quite a common firearms regulation across commonwealth countries. So if you plan a brace of pistols like an early 18th century pirate you're good.

Firing the martini seems awfully expensive, but when you consider how long the bullet is actually in the air the cost per second of bullet time is probably no different to any other rifle. :) When you can sit in silence counting the seconds until payload delivery it's a different world that AR guys just wouldn't understand.
