@daveydarko5026 The state is spending 1,200 bn a year. Why will another 5 bn solve it? The options are really quite simple, but unpleasant. 1. Massive cuts to pensions [default] 2. Massive cuts to state spending 3. Massive increases in taxation 4. Defaults, partial or full on the other debts. 5. More asset stripping of the workers. The only question is how to spread the pain. The reason is government debts. 2.7 trillion borrowed, 75 bn a year servicing the debt. Pensions, 220.6 bn cost. The return above inflation available for an index-linked gilt bought today if held to maturity is for example around 1.5%pa for the 2048 maturity. That puts the pension debt at the 19-20 trillion mark, with no assets. All that hidden off the books. So

He says 2% tax on the billionaires. That's 2% on 234 bn of assets. 4.68 billion raised [if they stay]. The government spends 1,200 bn a year. How does 4.68 bn extra fix everything? Given Starmer has promised his corrupt mates in Mauritius 16 billion, we are already in the spending cuts scenario

@daveydarko5026 I have an issue with him. The situation is dire. Very dire. There are a lot of desperate people. Along comes Gary and says if only we caught a leprechaun / taxed the billionaires. It's a fairy story. Gary never puts numbers out there to say if it will work. For example, the only debt he talks about is the money owed to bankers like himself. Why would he make statements that means the bankers get paid not the plebs? It's a con. Tell the peasants there is "hope" whilst carrying on looting their assets. On the spending. The state spends 1,200 bn this year. Why is that not enough?

@daveydarko5026 On what can ameolorate it. For new arrivals who pay less in than they take out, that ends, you have to go home. Same for any with criminal records. That is one cut to spending that is huge. Second some of those will be working. That frees up jobs for brits, and wages start to rise. The state needs to be cut back. Lets take one example, car tax. Abolish it. All the DVLA is manage licenses and car ownership. The VED money then goes on fuel. Collected already, it saves huge amounts, can't easily be dodged. So jobs go, government more efficient. Lots of examples like that. Then we need to move away, quickly from the pension ponzi the state current runs. Mr Average, 15 years and he's better off, Mr Min wage, 20-21 years. But to do that we are talking massive cuts to state spending. Not a few billion, but hundreds of billions. Can that be done? yes. Will it be done? Yes. The issue is it a catestrophic collapse, or managed.

@clintharper5509 Debt is the biggest. 300 bn The rest is illustrated by your Rwanda comment. That's pure incompetence. There is massive waste. There's a lot of fraud. DWP is riddled with it. If you want the details ask. Civil servants, politicians have no skin in the game. So they agree to things like Cross Rail, Ferries, HS2. Who spends 100 bn to get trains that arrive 5 minutes faster? But you are asking the right question. Massive increases in taxes, cuts to services. Where's the difference? The difference has an accounting name too. It's called gross profit margin.

How much can you get from the rich each year? 4. What will it be spent on? 5. Is 25% an acceptable profit margin? 6. Wealth. Where are the trillions the workers have paid the socialist welfare state? 7. 1200 bn in tax, only 900 bn going on services 8. 16 bn to corrupt politicians for Chagos. 9. It's a choice. @clintharper5509 I'll try again. I did reply to that. So what you state is true. We are paying more and more for less and less. That's because the state is increasing its gross profit margin. It's currently at 25%. Way more than the 5% the utlities make. 500% bigger. That's because the money is going on the debts. 300 bn if you look at the whole of governnent accounts. Second one, the government is importing poverty. That is optional spending. The government could simply say, no welfare and 40K tax codes. That's break even. The more that meet that test, the better. But they have 1 million on welfare, plus dependents. That's a massive cost. Remember too the published numbers are just for income support. The other costs, NHS, housing, the works all hidden. The we have general waste and fraud. Again huge. Anything you want to dig into in detail ask away. My question to you. If the state could increase spending from 1000 bn to 1,200 bn would that fix things?

@ So on servitude front, you are correct. The problem is that gary offers no solution to that. You offer no solution. There's a 16 trillion pound socialist pension debt to pay. That's debt bondage. Where's the solution you propose? Put some numbers to it, to see if it works. Does it involve austerity?
