  2. Let me give you an example from yesterday. Borough High Street in London. Rampant crime. Offences every 10-15 seconds, and that's not peak time. 3 police officers. I spoke to the first. He didn't know its illegal to cycle on pavements. People effectively assaulting people forcing them to jump out of the road. ie. Useless. Instead, he's been tasked with parking on red routes. Next two. I flagged them down. More interesting, as they were cycle officers. I spent 5 mins talking to them. During that time 20 offences behind them including illegal motorbikes, red light jump and those assaults were pedestrians crossing at crossings had to jump out of the way. Now what did they say? We aren't allowed to stop them. Health and safety of the criminal prevents it. We've been tasked with fining people for parking on red routes. The same later, 3 officers, standing around in a gaggle, Old Kent Road. Offences going off left right and centre on the road. What have they been tasked with? Ah yes, literally their job was to stand there as the local school closed at 3:30. So why have more tax when you get no services, no protection from the state? The police need to think. What happens when the middle class say defund the police? Civil servants need to think. If you don't deliver then the public won't deliver your pension, and you will be sacked. All Richard demands is inflation. Pay more get less.

  6.  @stumac869  The poor get massive "negative tax" in the form of subsidies. But why isn't it like Port au Prince in Haiti? Why hasn't it collapsed? It's the evidence you don't need 50% taxes to have a good government. We can and need to have massive cuts to taxation.

  7.  @stumac869  So lets say a poor person in latvia earns 10,000 EUR. They pay 2000 in Tax. There's no threshold. A rich person earns 100,000 EUR. They pay 20% on 20,004 EUR., 23% on the income up to 78,100, then 31% on the remainder. That's 25,151.88 EUR. So you've claimed the poorest pay more. Well based on the actual numbers the rich person pays 12 times as much as the poorer. So you are wrong there. Even on the percentage, one pays 20% of income the other pays over 25% of income. Where did you get the idea the poor person pays more because its clearly wrong. Someone has lied to you.

She acted like an Spiv, and got away with it because the NHS had failed in its duty to buy PPE. However, the big evidence against you is that the top 10% pay as much tax as the other 90%. That's a flow from the privileged as you put it, to others who get the goods without having to work for it. If then factor things in like pensions. the privilidged are completely ripped off by the state. The flow of wealth from them to the state is massive. The warning in there, is that even if a small number leave, or opt out, then the state is screwed. What if 1% decide not to pay the game? That's a 5% cut in tax receipts.

  9.  @benedict-4965  Not sure what you mean? The ONS has the numbers for income tax paid against income by decile. So you can see how much the poorest 10% pay, the 10-20%, ... the top 10% pay. The top 10% pay the same amount of money as the other 90%. IS that what you mean by disproportionate collection?

  10.  @benedict-4965  What do you mean by spending collection? Who collects the spending of government? The government. It's call taxation. The government collects money from people via taxation [and some fines], and spends it. Collection of spending isn't a term. You've invented it.
