Symptoms, not solutions. We need to talk solutions. That way the next government hits the road running. That deals with the civil service before they know what's hit them. For example, change the law so deportation is automatic on conviction [or the falklands if its unsafe, tents, basic supplies, ...] Welfare for foreigners? Ends. Naturalisation? Ends. Simple solution, move all the civil servants from that department to the road sweeping department. Change the tax code of migrants to 40K a year. Creates lots of vacancies for civil servants. Quangos. Takes a law change to remove them. Takes a minister to sign a paper to change their funding to £1. Now what do they do? Cut the Gordian knot.
