  3.  @LenaK-i8r  Correct. But he can pull the whip from a sizeable number of rebels. Given the rules on a leadership challenge. 20% are needed for a challenge. 411 MPs, which means 82. 650 seats, halved is 325. He can afford to get rid of 86 and still have a majority. But he doesn't need to do that. He just needs to get rid of a percentage of the 82 to make sure they only get 81 votes or less. That's why it won't work.
