When the foreigners leave, the economy collapses. Just think what happens when Trump says you have to pay full postage for deliver to the US. High labour items, cheap, become uneconomical. The result is mass unemployment.

A major problem for China will be Trump changing the postal deal. No subsidies for postal rates hits at those low value items on ebay etc. Trump can put a small tariff on each item. All of that hits the low cost high labour input items. That's causes huge problems because it causes lots of unemployment. Unemployment causes unrest.

@butwhytharum Correct. Now for the CCP its a disaster. For high value items, doesn't make a large difference For low value items its a huge increase in prices. So low value items, high labour content. The knock on effect is unemployment in China. Lots of it.

@ferrellsl It has, repeated defaulted on the pensions. Even for civil service pensions its unilaterally changed the rules. Increase the retirement age is a default on the terms of the pension debts.
