  2. I was thinking, what will archaeologists be doing where I live in 3000 years time. It's the Old Kent Road. Square one on the monopoly board. Well, its pretty clear, we have a processional way, pointing towards a large glass spire or pyramid. Lining the route we have uncovered lots of temples. The largest of the these are the temples of Tesco's and Asda. We've uncovered another temple where the walls are lined with images of bare breasted priestesses, and from the calendar information underneath, its clear that these were running the society, in charge of the calendar. This is where we find lots of technology and metal working. The processional way is also aligned to the winter solstice. So its clear that the temple of KwikFit and the cult of Pirelli where these priestesses ruled society. PS. It's all factually correct, but its got that post modern archaeological interpretation on it! :-)

  3. Mud and bones instead of wattle and daub. That would be consistent with the lack of gnawing. Next, if then collapses, it looks like they have been burried

  4. Put another mammoth on the barbeque dear. There's a site in the UK, Eartham Pit, Boxgrove. Homo heidelbergensis where they were having barbequed rhino. 0.5 million so predates Homo Sapiens.  @SandraBonney
