However, there will be instances where it is appropriate for the CPS to exercise the Director's powers under section 6(2) Prosecution of Offences Act 1985, either to continue the prosecution or to discontinue or stop it. So what did Starmer do? He's has already admitted that Saville was let off because the CPS under his watch didn't prosecute.

  4. 1. He didn't prosecute. That's a CPS decision and he was in charge. 2. For the Post Office. Ditto. Please go and read up on the CPS's role in private prosecutions and their obligations. They failed, again, and it was on Starmer's watch. So he should be stripped of his knighthood for starters for failure.  @Geffo555
