  2. The main cause is the welfare state. People have paid it trillions for their old age. Their wealth handed over. They are owed a pension. Tories and Labour have pissed it all away. So there's zero assets, massive debts. Debt is just negative wealth. Now they have run up 2.4 trillion in borrowing, just to pay the pensions. Direct cause. Redistribution instead of investment. Which bit is wrong?  @tonywilson9950
