  2. The question is then what needs to change? The rate of inflation is the rate of increase in the price index. The target for the BoE needs to change. Instead of the rate, where every year they get another go, the target needs to be the price index. If the price index is currently 100, then the target is that the price index is 100. ie. Zero inflation over the long term. The BoE achieves this by not printing money, and increasing and decreasing the interest rates.  @jungletiger1900

  3. Yes. The price index. I've just posted what needs to change. Namely if the price index is currently 100, the BoE's target is to keep the index at 100. Two ways. Money supply, stop printing and by interest rates - increase/decrease if the index is above/below 100  @AFFootballHighlights
