  1. If you have a minimum tax of £38,500 a year, per migrant things change. First why 38,500? Well that's average wage. In practice you need to earn a bit more to be a net contributor. That is generate more tax than you cost. The reason for that is there's a deficit, but work with it. Now if you earn that sort of money, you have to be integrated into society. Hard to earn it if you aren't. Similarly if you are denied all no contributory benefits. which is pretty much all of them. You have to be integrated into society. Then what's other people's views? Well there will no doubt still be some racists, but almost all people will say, look if he or she is paying more tax than they cost, then I get cheaper services, they can stay so long as they carry on doing so. But that isn't what we have. We have lots of low paid people because the elite have said who will clean our toilets, which is just the modern day equivalent of who will pick our cotton.

  2. A second obsertvation on the history of migration to the UK. The first example is slavery. Forced Labour Next we have Irish migration. Cheap Labour. Bangladesh and Pakistan. Cheap Labour for the mills. Chinese migration. Cheap Labour for the Army. Windrush. Cheap Labour for the NHS and London Transport The EU. Cheap Labour for companies. Current Mass Migration. Cheap Labour - push down wages - attack the population All disasters. Asylum. Kinder transport? No issues Ugandan Asians? No problems. ... When migration is done for cheap labour it doesn't work. When its small numbers of genuine refugees, it does work.

  3. There's one question. How much tax were they paying? What was the cost of state spending they got? For example, the NHS is £3,000 per person per year. The issue is when the tax paid is less than the cost, someone else is paying for them.

  5. I know of some. For example, one of my father's students, had to escape Ghadafi. He's become British. He ran a physics department at one of the better universities. Got a gong from the queen. Semi retired, he's now involved building a company to make cheap electron microscopes. So in my books, meets all the criteria for a successful asylum seeker. I've just had a coffee at a shop. Algerian refugee. I've seen the scars from the bullet wounds. Again, I wouldn't say no. Same for Kindertransport. The point I am making is genuine refugees behave very differently from low paid migrants brought in because of the "who will pick our cotton" demands of the elite. So how to fix it. 1. List of safe countries. 2. No asylum from safe countries. 3. If a country moves from dangerous to safe, then a grace period and you move to the economic migrant category. 4. For economic migrants, no welfare and a minimum £38,500 a year tax code. So which are the safe countries? Afghanistan is now safe. The list I think is Yemen, Palestine, and Ukraine.

  6. @littleowldme It was a war. He was shot by the French in Algeria. I've no doubt about that. However, its now safe to return. On that bit I agree with a slight nuance. For economic migrants we should put on a minimum tax code set at break even. It's around the 40K a year mark, but lets just say average wage. That way those that are beneficial aren't affected. So for those where the country has moved from dangerous to safe, its simple. A grace period and your tax code changes. Taxed at source. Now for the migrants who are good for the UK, no change. So your last bit, I agree. But for those that are the ones we want here, the net contributors [there aren't that many], why not turn them into economic migrants? For the others, they have to make a decision.

  7. Yes. But on average, its per adult. So the wife gets the tax code too. So lets say its 2+2. They have to be earning 2 x 38.5 = 77K So what happens? Taxed at source. That's what the tax code does. The money gets taken by the company, handed over to the state. So for that min wage migrant paying £1K a year in tax, suddenly discovers they only get 100 a week to live off, and no welfare. So they have to leave. It self adjusts.  @davidstula578

  8. The other bit about the suggestion. National Insurance has the nationalities. That a simple query that HMRC can make. They then send the letters out to employers with the new tax codes. In most cases that's electronic. Then within a month, the money flows in. For the migrants we want, zero change. They are already over the 38.5K and nothing will change. Now the elite will whinge. Who will clean our toilets, the modern day alternative of who will pick out cotton.  @davidstula578

  9. Gaddafi was evil. Pure and simple. The question is how to make migration beneficial to the UK, and make sure we don't get the non beneficial migration. It's very simple. 1. No criminals. Bar and deport 2. No discrimination. None of this pro 97% white EU. Rest of the World bad. 3. Net contributors only 4. For asylum that list of safe countries, and its only lasts whilst there is war etc. @littleowldme
