I'm looking forward to the debate, Biden is toast. Trump needs to make sure that the debate is after the deadline to be on the ballot paper. No switching in another candidate.

@billfreeman1347 Biden won't turn up. For a starter, he won't be able to get to the podium without a guide. He's going to drop a packet whilst standing there. Then when he's asked a question, the answer is "wibble".

@mholland9330 Well he's going to win. Then, and think rightly, he needs to get people to take revenge for him whilst he gets on with the real work. 10% for the big man? Where's the tax on that?

@mholland9330 What comments and how? I'm just in the same position as you. I can't delete comments. I just have mine deleted.

@mholland9330 They can't delete comments. YT deletes comments not posters.

@mholland9330 No, YT has an algorithm. It automatically deletes comments that, in its views have a low score. What's interesting is that it won't even delete the obvious scams. Those bots are allowed. So there is a tactic to counter this. Get a text generator. There are lots. That's random text. Put that at the end of your message and it dilutes what you are trying to say. The second effect. They use that they to train their algorithm. That means its being trained on junk, and the AI becomes worthless. The long term solution is political. If you want to censor, you can, but you are jointly on the hook for libel. Or you pick the telephone model. No censorship and you can't be sued for libel, you aren't a publisher. If people want stuff taken down, its a court order.

@mholland9330 I think you will find most of it is AI driven.

@mholland9330 I think most are algo. One example is posting a reply versus posting a comment, there's a difference. You can post and with a second account see if its visible. That's too quick for a complaint. What's needed is transparency. At some point someone will push as SAR to the limit to get everything that YT has shadow banned, plus the reasons why. That would set a precedent, and others will then do the same. That's different from download your data. I also expect that taking revenge on people would get YT into big trouble if the ICO took a view on revenge.

@mholland9330 It raises an interesting question. I suspect both are going on. So can you design an experiment that tests to see which is which? For the reporting, post the same on different accounts. Post on right wing and left wing channels. See how long a post is up. The longer the more likely its pulled for being reported. The shorter - like seconds - its AI.

Experiments are interesting. I'll give you another example. Cyclists. They say repeatedly its not them, its cars that commit the offences. Well that's testable. I picked the A2 near me. Filmed a junction for 5 minutes. 101 offences 99 by cyclists. 1200 an hour, £1.2 million a hour in fines, if policed.
