  4. Did you hear the part, either when Matt read it or when you listened to it, about a boy being molested by his fat nanny? Why not? Now, my speculation is that Queen decided to write a typical Queen song about a horrible event. Maybe one of the band was molested as a child? Maybe a young relative of theirs was? Maybe they read/watched a news story about it? Who knows? Point is, I give Queen the benefit of the doubt, unlike Matt, and assume they were trying to bring to light a horrible event.

  5. @christracy2144  , "the British way" doesn't change the fact that it's highly inappropriate for children. Of course, Queen was not writing it FOR children, so no qualms there.

  9. @WadeProductions2131  , I absolutely agree with you. I have 3 daughters, and I will not permit them to grow up viewing these wh*res as role models. Their role models will be women who created effective AND positive change, women of integrity and strong character.

  11. @AlejandroRisin  , and? That doesn't mean the lyrics of "Fat Bottomed Girls" are good for kids. I have let my daughters listen to Queen songs. I don't have a problem with that, provided that, as a parent, you discuss what the lyrics are saying. (As I did.) For example, "We Will Rock You" clearly involves a man being disrespected and beaten. "OH, THAT'S NOT WHAT IT'S ABOUT!" No, that is what it's about; take the lines: "Kicking your can all over the place" And "Somebody better put you back in your place". "NO, THEY'RE JUST SAYING HE WAS KICKING A TIN CAN, AND HE WAS BEING A SH*THEAD WHO NEEDED TO RESPECT OTHERS". Were they? I'm quite sure, while Queen wasn't referring to advocating violence, they were definitely referring to someone getting their ass beat. I don't think that's problematic, in context of the song, but let's stop pretending that lyrics were more appropriate in the '70s because they weren't as obvious as today.
