They dont even take holiday, would you really expect them to take paternity leave? i literally know people that havent taken any holiday for 8 years straight. For them, any day off or any request is an inconvenience to the company and they dont wanna do it. Generally speaking.

Dont get me wrong because I live in london and i got friends from many different backgrounds and ethnicities, but i believe that Japanese are free to feel that way and to want to keep their country homogenous and have a right to want a person that looks Japanese to represent them. I dont see anything wrong in that. Now, if they are going to be hostile or insult her, that would definitely be wrong but they dont have to agree with her being miss Japan.

  10. I agree and I am a foreigner who lives in London. There are also many British living in my country, Spain., And that is perfectly fine. But the same way I dont expect to ever be considered british, and British living in spain dont expect to be considered Spanish, i dont see a problem if Japanese feel that this woman doesnt represent them.   13. If you dont look japanese, you are not japanese. It's simple. Doesnt matter what the mix is. There might be some more harassment or rejection towards black people BUT in terms of considering a hafu Japanese, there is no difference at all. The only hafus that get away are the ones that look very japanese. For instance, i follow a youtuber who is a mexican-japanese family, and the kids look 90% japanese so they fit perfectly in society.

  36. no, that's not true, i follow some mixed families in japan and their mixed-race children have japanese nationality. However, the foreign parent does not have residency for granted. If they were to divorce, the foreign parent can be kicked out of the country. Even with children in common.
