I live in London where housing is very expensive (and for personal reasons I am not able to live somewhere else at the moment) and I decided to leave the rat race and work less than 30 hours per week, knowing that that kind of money would only allow me to rent a room in a house, and I would not have my own place. But you can't have everything, can you? I got a lot of free time, I got energy to do things, I dont need to wait for a day off to go somewhere. it works for me. And sure, a lot of people will criticize it. They will say things like "you are supposed to progress in life, but you are working part time and sharing house...". However they envy my free time.

  3. There are people working retail at 50 and 60. It only depends on what you need. If you dont need more money, then why would you get a more stressful job?
